EAO introduces new Series 51 stop switches at Newark

Space-saving design sets a new standard in the industry

Newark, the leading distributor of electronic components and engineering solutions in the Americas and a business of Premier Farnell (LSE:pfl), announced today it was the first to stock the new EAO Series 51 Stop Switch, which features a monoblock design with a back panel depth of just 18.8mm—less than the width of a penny and unmatched by any other stop switch in the industry.

The space-saving design makes the Series 51 ideal for applications that require exacting ergonomics combined with superior reliability and durability, and is especially well-suited for interfaces that require a visible actuation status, such as medical diagnostic equipment, machinery, and many other space restrictive applications that employ hand-held pendants. Monoblock construction provides fail-safe operation which ultimately increases overall user safety.

The switch is sealed to IP65 standards from the front of the panel, utilizing an industry standard 16 mm mounting hole, and it meets many international standards, including CE, EN 61058-1 and RoHS environmental requirements.
