Sola/Hevi-Duty's latest industrial power supplies, UPS and surge protection offered at Newark

CHICAGO-MARCH 4, 2008

Newark (www.newark.com), part of the global Premier Farnell Group, and a leading multi-channel, high-service electronics distributor supporting millions of engineers and purchasing professionals across the Americas, announces that it is now stocking three solutions just introduced by leading industrial power manufacturer, Sola/Hevi-Duty.

Next-generation SDN-C Series power supplies offer a smaller size and higher efficiency than Sola/Hevi-Duty’s existing SDN-P line, plus new visual LED diagnostics for input/output status. The compact package saves space on the DIN rail and is available in popular 5 and 10 amp, 24 Vdc output sizes. The SDN-P line will also be continued to support existing specifications.

The new compact, DIN Rail Mount, SDU Series DC uninterruptible power supply system (UPS) is designed to maximize uptime. It provides for total protection from unexpected DC power disruptions, allowing critical and sensitive equipment to safely shut down, preventing costly data losses, work interruptions and equipment damage.

The new STFV Plus Series provides two types of data/signal line surge protection in one convenient package: Active Tracking® filters for low energy disturbances plus surge suppression for high energy transients such as lighting.

“Newark is very pleased to offer these new Sola products to our design and production engineering customers, who need to meet ever-changing space and efficiency requirements,” comments Paul Buckley, Senior Vice President, Product and Supplier Management, Newark. “These products will provide them additional levels of crucial protection to keep their equipment and operations safe during power interruptions.”

Technical data and a wide range of Sola/Hevi-Duty power supplies, transformers and UPS systems available for same-day shipping can be found at www.element14.com/sola
