Customer Reviews

adequate if not elegant For the money this is a good simple box. The cables have good clearance, although you need to pretty much assemble everything and then close the enclosure. It does work well as two separate Pi holders, that at least keep the Pi off the table. February 22, 2015
Somewhat fragile a bulky i didn't like the case much, the latches were kind flaky and it would crack open and the board would fall off often. In addition, it was too bulky. It ended up in the recycle bin. February 18, 2015
Case designed for labbing If you're looking for a slim compact case this is not the case for you. This case seems more designed for labbing and being able to access your raspberry pie quickly. February 14, 2015
Do better, spend a couple more bucks. The pi tends to pop out of the retainers very easily, resulting in a struggle to get the pi aligned in the case again. Very unhappy with this case as it can't tolerate any handling whatsoever. This case also makes the pi look much larger than it is, which detracts from any demontsrations you may have in mind. You can all do better to spend the extra two or three dollars for a better quality case. February 4, 2014
Buy this, - or better, don't use a case I HATE, HATE, HATE, this case. Yes, not having a case is better than fooling with this joke of a case. I bought my first Pi-s about 7 or 8 months ago, and bought two of these, because I usually like Bud's cases. I can't believe they are still for sale. As has been noted- pretty much any time I touch the Pi to plug a cable, or change the SD card, it comes loose in this grossly oversized box. I have to fumble to get the two halves apart, then plug in or unplug whatever it was I was doing- then mount the case onto the Pi (and not the Pi into the case), and gingerly put the other half on (which uses long, thick plastic pins to mate into corresponding sleeves on the other half). Or more likely I just leave the Pi sitting in half the case and don't put on the other half. I HATE this case. Please stop selling it. December 20, 2013

Unless you mean that if you take it apart, and because the two sides are identical, they can separately hold two Raspberry Pi's. I tried the Pi upside down and I tried reversing them, no dice.
Is this is a product claim? If so can you demonstrate how this can be accomplished?

To be clear the review in question by BUD references comments made by PC mag, in what looks like a claim of a product feature: "The design also makes it possible for the case to hold two Raspberry Pi units at once, in case you have an eye on constructing a doubly powerful PC." - BUD quoting PC Mag

The PI Sandwich enclosure(rectangular unit), the tops and bottom are identical so a board can be mounted in both the top and the bottom.

Will Pi with attached PiFace daughterboard fit in this case?

Pi with attached PiFace daughter board does not fit in this case, rather you can use an IDC ribbon extension cable which can be brought out of the PI enclosed in a case.

Newark #44W3466 is an 26 pin GPIO Raspberry pi ribbon cable.
