Product Overview

AD8110 is a high-speed 16 × 8 video cross point switch matrice. It offers a -3dB signal bandwidth greater than 260MHz, and channel switch times of less than 25ns with 1% settling. With -78dB of crosstalk and -97dB isolation (at 5MHz), it is useful in many high-speed applications. The differential gain and differential phase of better than 0.02% and 0.02° respectively, along with 0.1dB flatness out to 60MHz, make the device ideal for video signal switching. It includes eight independent output buffers that can be placed into a high impedance state for paralleling cross point outputs so that off channels do not load the output bus. It is used in applications such as routing of high-speed signals including: composite video (NTSC, PAL, S, SECAM), component video (YUV, RGB), compressed video (MPEG, wavelet), 3-level digital video (HDB3).

  • 16 x 8 high-speed nonblocking switch arrays is G = +1
  • Serial or parallel switch array control
  • Serial data out allows “daisy chaining” of multiple cross points to create larger switch arrays
  • Slew rate is 500V/μs typ at (2V Step, RL = 150 ohm, TA = +25°C)
  • Differential gain error is 0.02% typ at (NTSC or PAL, RL =150 ohm, TA = +25°C)
  • 260MHz -3dB bandwidth at (200mV p-p, RL = 150 ohm)
  • Propagation delay is 5ns typ at (2V p-p, RL = 150 ohm, TA = +25°C)
  • Supply current is 38mA typ at (VS = 5V, TA = +25°C, RL = 1Kohm)
  • Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C
  • Package style is 80-lead low profile quad flat [LQFP]
