Product Overview

The TSOP2438 from Vishay is a miniaturized IR receiver module for remote control systems. A PIN diode and a preamplifier are assembled on lead frame, the epoxy package contains an IR filter. The demodulated output signal can be directly connected to a microprocessor for decoding. TSOP2438 is optimized to suppress almost all spurious pulses from energy saving lamps like CFLs, the AGC4 used in the TSOP2438 may suppress some data signals. This device widely used for remote controlling.
