Product Overview

The TPS7A8001DRBEVM is an evaluation module for TPS7A8001 low noise, high bandwidth PSRR, 1A low dropout linear regulator. The TPS7A8001 is adjustable, the evaluation module has been designed to provide several common output voltages which can be selected using an onboard jumper. The evaluation module can provide output voltages of 1.8V, 2.5V, 2.8V or 3.3V using the jumper. Other output voltage can be evaluated but requires changing the feedback resistors. The evaluation module is supplied with the adjustable voltage version of the TPS7A80xx. The board can be used to evaluate fixed voltage versions of the TPS7A80xx as well. The integrated circuit must be changed to the desired fixed output voltage version of the device. The evaluation module has an absolute maximum input voltage of 7V The recommended maximum operating voltage is 6.5V. The actual highest input voltage may be less than 6.5V due to thermal conditions.

It is important to operate this EVM within the input voltage range of 2.2V to 6.5V and the output voltage range of 0.8V to 6V. Exceeding the specified input range may cause damage to the EVM.
