Product Overview

The TPS79501DCQR is a low-dropout (LDO) low-power Linear Voltage Regulator features high power-supply rejection ratio (PSRR), ultralow noise, fast start-up and excellent line and load transient responses. The device is stable with a small 1µF ceramic capacitor on the output. The device uses an advanced, proprietary BiCMOS fabrication process to yield extremely low dropout voltages. Moreover, when the device is placed in standby mode, the supply current is reduced to less than 1µA. Applications with analog components that are noise-sensitive, such as portable RF electronics, benefit from the high-PSRR and low-noise features, as well as from the fast response time. High PSRR is provided by a high-gain, high-bandwidth error loop with good supply rejection at very low headroom. A noise-reduction pin is provided to bypass noise generated by the band-gap reference and to improve PSRR, while a quick-start circuit quickly charges this capacitor at start-up.
