Product Overview

The CDCE421AEVM is the evaluation module for CDCE421A. CDCE421A is a highly versatile, ultra low jitter frequency synthesizer that takes a low frequency crystal or LVCMOS input and generates clock output from 10MHz to 1100MHz with fully integrated silicon VCO. The output is selectable among LVPECL, LVDS, or 2 LVCMOS. It is intended to replace high frequency XO for a variety of wireline and data communication applications. The CDCE421AEVM is divided into four blocks. The programming section and device power for each block can be enabled or disabled through individual switches provided for each block. This evaluation module EVM is designed to demonstrate the electrical performance of the CDCE421A.

  • Supports crystal or LVCMOS Input frequencies from 27.35MHz to 38.33MHz
  • Fully integrated programmable loop filter
  • Integrated On chip non-volatile memory (EEPROM) stores settings without applying high voltage
  • Single supply at 3.3V
It is important to operate this EVM within the input voltage range of –0.5V to +4.0V and the output voltage range of 0 to +3.6V.
