Product Overview

STEVAL-ILL015V1 LED dimmer demonstration board based on the STP24DP05 LED driver and the STM32 microcontroller accelerated by SPI and DMA. The STP24DP05 device is a 24bit constant current LED sink driver with output error detection, suitable for applications such as large area displays and full colour board panels where improvement in RGB LED resolution and reduction of system cost are important. All the computations, results and tests were performed on an evaluation board containing an STM32 MCU running at a clock frequency of 48MHz. On board microcontroller can be programmed and debugged using the standard JTAG 20 pin connector included on the board.

  • High efficiency switching DC/DC power supply using the ST1S010
  • DC power supply 7.5V to 18V, input current 0.7A max
  • Controlled by 3 buttons, a knob and a reset/back button
  • Available test point for each important signal
  • LED current regulation
  • Error and over temperature LEDs for each LED driver
  • 3 separate jumper allowing disconnection, shorting of 3 LED from driver for testing error detection
  • Mini USB connector for PC interconnection
