Product Overview

The ASTC0000 is an Inline Amplifier for magnetic pickups and long cable runs. The ASTC boosts magnetic pickup signals by a factor of more than 100 and provides an NPN open-collector pulse output. Low speed input sensitivity is 20mV which permits operation at 1/50th of the 1-volt threshold speeds listed in the magnetic pickup specifications and ordering table. The unit is epoxy-encapsulated in a 3/4-inch diameter stainless steel shell, with overall dimensions of 0.9-inch (D) X 4.5-inch (L) including neoprene strain-reliefs on each end. In installations where long signal runs are to be made it is advisable to keep the ASTC close to the magnetic pickup and make the longer cable run with the output from the ASTC. Input and output cables should not be run in conduit, cable troughs or bundles with power or control voltage lines.
  • Current sinking output
  • Provides ultra-low threshold speeds
  • Allows larger air-gaps
  • Provides high noise immunity
  • 9 to +30VDC at 25mA maximum supply voltage
  • 20mV Input sensitivity
  • 10kHz Maximum operating frequency
  • -18 to +60°C operating temperature
  • Epoxy encapsulated #304 stainless steel case and neoprene strain-reliefs on each end construction

We have a video inspection system that uses a gear tooth sensor to keep time with the press. You show the amplifier, but not the gear sensor. the only part number on the sensor is OEMGD009 and I think that it is a Red Lion product. I have included a pic, but the wire has broke off the sensor. I appreciate any help you can give. Thanks
