RASPBERRY-PI - RASPBERRY-PI/8GB-USD - MODEL B - 8GB SDCard W/ NOOBS PRE-INSTALLED 4.2 5 5 5
Excellent Product I have been meaning to buy a Raspberry Pi for a while now, and this site had the best price on the internet, so I bought one, and I could not be happier. The SD card worked fine with NOOBS, and an hour later, my PI was up and running fine. Overall rating: five stars. I would reccomend this product for anyone starting with the PI. June 11, 2014
Works Great Got two of these a few months back (using one as an OpenVPN server, the other a HylaFax server with AvantFax front-end) and they have been working great. No complaints at all! The NOOBS card allowed me to easily install Raspbian without problems. December 13, 2013
She's My Berry Pi! I bought the Model B with NOOBS card to increase likelyhood of successful first boot. I also purchased camera and wifi adapter. Just under $90, ordered Sunday night and on my desk Friday afternoon. Everything worked great. Extra $5 for easy first boot worth it. I then created my own NOOBS card from download on 32 GB clsss 6 card and it too worked great. Within about four hours total time, I had my 32 GB card up and running, written a little code (google/copy/paste/edit-to-suite-me) and had the unit taking a video clip after booting headless from my cell phone adapter in my truck. Awesome. Notes: I had extra cables, monitors and such at hand when my order arrived. First experience with Debian one year ago. May not be such an instantly satisfying experience for first time coders. October 28, 2013
Fantastic! This mini computer has exceeded my expectation. The previous review is incorrect as my card was an 8GB card (not a 1GB card). That said, it was a MicroSD card with an adapter but worked the same. I would guess that the previous review was user error or mistakenly shipped the wrong part. This has made the perfect XBMC but has some many other uses. October 28, 2013
Misled about SD Card I don't have much to say about the Raspberry Pi - it is what it is. And I was happy with the delivery time and schedule. However, I believed I would get an eight gigabyte (GB) SD card since the product title is "MODEL B - 8GB SDCard W/ NOOBS PRE-INSTALLED". However, when I went to inspect the SD Card, I found that it was eight gigabits (also known as 1 gigabyte, or 1GB). I'm surprised that more attention wasn't paid to this listing! I wish I had just gotten the Raspberry Pi without the SD card and saved myself the $5. October 21, 2013

The picture is for a Model B board but the features link under similar products lists 256 MB. 97W6849 appears to be the Model B with the 8MB card but it is not clear which this is.

Due to unavailability, my order had this item (97W6849) substituted for the Raspberry Pi model B Bundle with 8GB SD card with NOOBS pre-installed (item 04X5042).
I haven't yet received the order but need to know the difference between the RPi that I ordered and the substituted one... specifically:
Is this Raspberry Pi that comes with item 97W6849 the model B? Does it have 512mb RAM? What does SBC mean? Is NOOBS installed on the SD card?
Thank you,
Barry

I was just wondering why you chose to go with a class 4 micro sd instead of a class 10? Wouldn't the additional speed really give it a boost? The cost of a 8 gig class 10 micro sd card has really gone down over the past couple of years.

A:
Agreed, what you are saying is correct. As raspberry pi is introduced for educational purpose, in order to keep a competitive price for this kit along with accessories it has been selected class-4 SD card device.

This does not come with a power supply. Any standard microUSB cell phone charger will work as long as its capacity is above 700mAh (most are, just look at the label on the charger)
