Newark element14 Announces Availability of New Storm Interface 720 Series Keypads
Four key, 12 key and 16 key devices are tough, designed for use in harsh industrial environments
January 15, 2013 – CHICAGO – Newark element14 has announced it is stocking the 720 Series keypad range from Storm Interface. Featuring significant improvements in materials, product performance and usability, the keypads build on the 700 Series, which had been the industry standard for decades.
The 15 new keypads are designed as 'fit-and-function' alternatives to the original Storm Interface products. They present a more hardwearing and contemporary user interface manufactured from rigid engineering-grade polymers. They are tougher and aesthetically improved from the original.
All 15 keypads in the series are designed for use with the optional Storm 450 and 450i USB Interface devices, providing out-of-the-box compatibility with USB-equipped host systems.
The 720 GFX Series offers keytop graphics that can be customized by the use of legend tiles under 'snap-on' transparent keycaps. Once snapped into place, the tamper-resistant caps encapsulate and protect the keytop graphics. The 720 GFX-i Series add white light LED illumination for use in dark or partially lit locations.
The 720 TFX Series features high contrast white keytops with permanent laser-engraved black characters, while the 720 TFX-i Series incorporates white LED illumination for easy viewing in dim or dark locations.
Finally, the BLK Series offers white keytop characters that are permanently laser marked on black polymer keys. Function keys are in an easily recognizable color-coded format to present a contemporary and visually striking keypad.
The 720 Series can be purchased on the web at Newark.com.
