The DC1503A evaluation kit supports Linear Technology's LTM2881 and the DC1554A supports the LTM2882. Both boards are available in either 3.3V or 5V.

The LTM2881 is a complete 2500VRMS galvanically isolated, full duplex RS485/RS422 µModule transceiver with integrated 1W isolated power that requires no external components. Up to 62% efficiency is achievable, with surplus power available at a 5V regulated output. Additional features include integrated pin-selectable 120-Ohm termination, along with a dedicated logic supply pin and spare isolated logic channel.
The LTM2882 is a complete 2500VRMS galvanically isolated dual RS232 µModule transceiver with integrated 1W isolated power and also requires no external components. Up to 65% efficiency is achievable, with surplus power available at a 5V regulated output. The device meets RF and magnetic field immunity test requirements per European standard EN550024.
The isolator µModule technology is ideal for breaking ground loops, and for systems with large ground-to-ground differentials and common mode transients. Superior common mode rejection of up to 30kV/µs is achievable, while continuing to communicate through the event.
