Molex markets next-generation I-Trac™ backplane system through Newark element14
CHICAGO-OCTOBER 31, 2007
Innovative system enables higher bandwidths without re-designs
Newark element14 (www.newark.ca), part of the global Premier Farnell Group, and a leading multi-channel, high-service electronics distributor supporting millions of engineers and purchasing professionals across the Americas, is pleased to announce that it is now stocking the I-Trac backplane connector system from world-class connector manufacturer Molex.
The I-Trac offers multiple benefits over other backplane products, including superior impedance control, lower cross-talk and higher overall bandwidth. It enables high speed data rates scalable from 2 Gbps to beyond 12.5 Gbps, supporting the next-generation needs of design engineers working in server, storage, telecommunications and data networking applications. It also utilizes the same part numbers for both standard and orthogonal architectures by providing the option to rotate the headers 90 degrees on one side of the mid-plane.
"We're proud to offer our engineering customers the largest Molex selection available through distribution," comments Paul Buckley, Senior VP, Product & Supplier Management, Newark element14.
"Over 8,000 products are available for same-day shipping through our website or by calling 1.800.4.NEWARK ."
The I-Trac system is currently available in 7, 11 and 15 row versions with a complete range of guidance and power options at www.newark.ca/molex.
