Product Overview

The MC100EP31DTG is a 3.3V / 5V ECL D flip‐flop with set and reset in 8 pin TSSOP package. The device is pin and functionally equivalent to EL31 and LVEL31 devices. The MC100EP31DTG is ideal for applications requiring fastest AC performance available with AC performance much faster than EL31 and LVEL31 devices. Both set and reset inputs are asynchronous level triggered signals. Data enters master portion of flip-flop when CLK is low and is transferred to slave and thus the outputs, upon a positive transition of the CLK. The device also features contains temperature compensation.

  • PECL mode operating range from 3V to 5.5V with VEE = 0V
  • NECL mode operating range VCC = 0 V with VEE = -3V to -5.5V
  • Open input default state
  • Q output will default LOW with inputs open or at VEE
  • Power supply current of 35mA at TA = 25°C (VCC = 3.3V, VEE = 0V)
  • Cycle to cycle jitter of 0.2ps and minimum pulse width of 450ps
  • Output rise/fall time of 130ps at TA = 25°C
  • Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C
