The H7CX-A-N AC100-240 is a Multifunction Ultra-compact Counter/Tachometer provides more complete functionality. Standard type, screw terminal. The present value display characters can be switched between red, green and orange. New set value limit and counter functions have been added. Including a twin counter mode and many tachometer functions to handle even more applications.

Details: 
I am using the counter on a test jig and I can preset it to 999999 and count down. I would prefer it to count up to the preset. Is that possible?

A: 
It is an up/down counter so yes it is possible to count up. If you're using the dip switches for your settings check out page 15 and if you're using the menu check out page 16 of this data sheet (link provided as below) where it shows how to change the count input mode. In fact the default mode is up.

Suggested part number of socket which can hold this timer is P2CF-11-E from Omron. This socket is designed for holding H7CX series 11 pin counters.
