Product Overview

The HSN100 series from Ohmite are aluminium housed axial terminal wirewound resistors. These resistors offer greater power capacity in the same design format as Ohmite's 89 series. HSN100 series maintains the same construction, materials and manufacturing techniques as the 89 series. As a made to order product, it is recommended for higher volume applications. Power rating is based on chassis mounting area and temperature stability (proper heat sink: 12” x 12” x 0.125 aluminium panel). The HSN100 series have ±90ppm/°C (under 1ohm), ±50ppm/°C (1 to 9.99ohm), ±30ppm/°C (10 ohm and over) temperature coefficient options.
  • Power rating is 100W, resistance range from 1 to 14.7K, maximum working voltage is 1350V
  • Non-inductive winding, 4500VAC dielectric withstanding voltage
  • Moulded construction for total environmental protection
  • Complete welded construction, mounts on chassis to utilize heat-sink effect
  • High stability at conventional power ratings
  • Flat marking surface for easy identification
  • Aluminium with hard anodic coated housing, silicone internal coating and ceramic core
  • Solder coated axial terminals, tolerance is ±1% and ±5%
  • Derates linearly from 100% at +25°C to 0% at +275°C
  • High voltage, high power resistor
