Product Overview


OM11048,598 is a LPCXpresso board for LPC1343 ARM Cortex-M3 based microcontroller. The platform is comprised of a simplified Eclipse based IDE and low cost target board which include an attached JTAG debugger. Populated with the LPC1343 to demonstrate its features, the LPCXpresso LPC1343 combines the robust USB for mass storage class (MSC) and human interface device (HID) of the LPC1343 and the low price point of the LPCXpresso. The LPCXpresso target board can connect to expansion board to provide a variety of interfaces and I/O devices. The on board JTAG debugger provides high speed USB to JTAG/SWD interface to the IDE, and it can be connected to other debug targets such as a customer prototype. The LPC-Link is equipped with a 10 pin JTAG header enabling seamless connection to a target via USB. LPCXpresso’s IDE, using the standard GNU toolchain and optimized C library, can build an executable of any size with full code optimization.

Description:
The OM11048 is a LPCXpresso board with NXP's 32bit ARM Cortex-M3 LPC1343 microcontroller. The LPC1343FBD48 is a ARM cortex-M3 based microcontroller for embedded applications featuring a high level of integration and low power consumption. The ARM cortex-M3 is a next generation core that offers system enhancements such as enhanced debug features and a higher level of support block integration. The ARM cortex-M3 CPU incorporates a 3-stage pipeline and uses a Harvard architecture with separate local instruction and data buses as well as a third bus for peripherals. The ARM cortex-M3 CPU also includes an internal prefetch unit that supports speculative branching.
