Product Overview

KBR38A-USB2 is an Infrared and VFD/LCD display serial interface and PC Keyboard controller via USB. This compact USB interface module has been designed to interface to 7806A, KTW200 and K610A suffix VFD modules. It can be used for other modules and applications with an adaptor cable. It uses standard windows drivers to operate as a COM port, keyboard, mouse and a generic printer. The KBR38A-USB2 incorporates SPI and Asynchronous serial interfaces for controlling displays and other peripherals through the USB port of a PC. The USB port can also supply up to 450mA at 5VDC to power the display. The IR interface provides set up and PC keyboard emulation. The KBR38A-USB3 can also emulate a generic printer for use with existing print routines in PC software. The kit version includes a KBC56A remote control and USB cable.
