Product Overview

KBR38A-PS2 is an PC-PS2 keyboard intelligent serial interface infrared receiver module. The KBR38A-PS2 includes a 600mm PC interface cable, the module plugs into a PS2 interface cable included to allow PC keyboard emulation using the KBC56A keyboard. The IR Keyboard has proved to be a most versatile and cost effective solution to implement at a system or CPU level. Each key is independently transmitted allowing flexibility in the receiver to implement functionality to suit the application. Create your own IR receiver or choose one of the modules to convert the RC5 IR codes into ASCII+ characters to easily interface to your system. Configuration is set by the KBC56A and saved in the CPU's internal EEPROM. The LED indicates caps lock and flashes on key pressed. A raw data selection allows many IR remotes to be used.
