Customer Reviews

Looks good, works great. Just right! This case is just right. No screws or glue or sticky tape to keep it together. It's a two piece case that clips together very sturdily. There is an opening, like a tunnel, just over the set of LEDs that acts like a lens to spread the light. Since the case is clear, this makes the status lights show well even when viewing the pi from the side. You don't have to be directly over the pi to see it's working. In addition to the perfectly sized ports for USB, CAT5, audio, video and SDMC card there are two sets of vents on the bottom. Overall this case works well and clear just looks cool. January 20, 2015
High quality This product works great for keeping the raspberry pi safe. November 21, 2014
Good Case For RPI This case holds the raspberry pi perfectly and the case feels solid. It even has 2 holes on the back for mounting it on a wall or something else. January 18, 2014
Good case I got this case when I got my RPI. It worked great until I wanted to start using the GPIO. As others have said there is no room for any cables to leave, but I now run this without the top attached. With just the bottom it is still a good product. For me it helps to keep the bottom of the pi from accidentally coming into contact with things that it shouldn't. Over all, if you want a case and don't plan on using the GPIO, or you just want a cheap platform for your pi to sit on, get this one. September 6, 2013
Great case! This is a great, inexpensive case for your Pi! It has holes for all the jacks on the perimeter of the board, which line up perfectly. However, it does not allow access to the GPIO headers; if you plan to add daughter cards or expansion boards, you may want to keep looking. Separating the halves of the case is easy......after you figure it out. I have to admit it took me a while to get it done the first time (no instructions provided), because I was being very careful about it. August 7, 2013

These cases do not allow for access to the GPIO pins, do you sell cases that do have access?

For the part number “MC-RP001-CLR” To access the GPIO header, the cover of the case needs to be removed as there is no access point in the cover. The PI board remains in the base when the cover is removed as it snaps in place.

alternately you can consider Newark part number "92T3300" and "44W3465" which has provision on the casing where GPIO can be accessed
