Customer Reviews

MULTICOMP - MC-RP001-BLK - RASPBERRY PI ENCLOSURE, ABS, BLACK 4.9 5 7 7
Great for the A or B version. This worked out great for enclosing my Raspberry Pi B. Fit perfectly and is very unassuming. Great for someone who wants to build a project that doesn't scream "It's a Pi!" April 22, 2015
Retropie I am using this case on my retro pie pc, it's done a great job! February 28, 2015
Good basic case The case is very solid without being too rigid. This case has been used and abused for a few years and has stood up very well. The most important thing to note is that removing the Pi has not created any stress points on the Pi or the case. Solid design. February 17, 2015
Very good case, some limitations Everything fits well, ports line up. It looks chunky but isn't really that thick. There are slots to mount this on a wall (slide them over two screwheads). The cover is a little difficult to open once it closes. There's no opening for GPIO. There's no light pipe - you need to peer down the opening to see the LEDs. I had to enlarge the SD card slot in order to use the Adafruit microSD adapter, but once that is done, it fits perfectly. Overall, a great value. March 8, 2013
Nice Rasberry PI enclosure I purchased two of these and intend to always use this case when I purchase more Rasberry Pi Model B boards. They come in several colors which are identical otherwise. Just put the Rasberry Pi board in the bottom half of the enclosure and seat it properly, then place the top on and snap it together. It's only about 5mm wider than the Pi board (2.5mm on each side), holds the Rasberry Pi board firmly, all the ports line up, and the case stays together very firmly. There is also a window so that you can see the status LEDs on the board. I would say that you could not ask for a better enclosure, especially if you're no using the GPIO. But if you are using the GPIO, there is room for a daughter board if it doesn't extend beyond then Pi dimensions. January 30, 2013

A:
The board just clips into the bottom of the case and when the top is snapped on it's completely isolated.

A:
Unfortunately this case does not have a slot in it to connect the camera cable. The Newark part # 95W3072 can be usable with camera module with Pi camera slot (can be opened with a flat headed screwdriver).

I am not sure if this case has the holes for the USB and Ethernet ports for the model B or just the USB port for the model A.

A:
Please find the snapshot for opening the case:

These clamps need to be pushed out slowly and the base board will be released. This process has to be done carefully without applying much force.
Note: we are not responsible if the case is broken while opening.
