The 2N3442 is a 140V Silicon NPN Power Base Transistor for high power audio, series pass power supplies, disk-head positioners and other linear application. The transistor can also be used in power switching circuits such as converters or inverters. NPN silicon power transistor is designed for applications in industrial and commercial equipment including high fidelity audio amplifiers, series and shunt regulators as well as power switches.
