Product Overview

DC1783A-F demonstration board is for the evaluation of LTC2378-18 successive approximation register ADC with LTC6655-5/LT6350. The ADC is a low power, low noise with serial outputs that can operate from a single 2.5V supply. The fast 1Msps throughput with no cycle latency makes it ideally suited for a wide variety of high speed applications. An internal oscillator sets the conversion time, easing external timing considerations. The LTC2378-18 automatically powers down between conversions, leading to reduced power dissipation that scales with the sampling rate. The LTC2378-18 features a unique digital gain compression (DGC) function, which eliminates the driver amplifier’s negative supply while preserving the full resolution of the ADC. Default reference of 5V is provided by LTC6655-5 reference and buffer LT6350 is used to drive ADC. The DC1783A demonstrates the DC and AC performance of the LTC2378-18 in conjunction with the DC590 QuikEval and DC718C PScope data collection boards.
