Details:
I am installing auxillary latches on the "basement" storage doors on our RV to provide more security for storage. I want to operate these via solenoids. I need to know the type, size, strength, etc. solenoid to use to pull straight back on a lineal latch mechanism. The latch is a typical plunger latch similar to a residential door latch. I am not sure of "duty cycle" specs and so on as I am not an electrical engineer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Attached is a pic of the latch being considered for use in this installation.
