Newark introduces TechCast product training to expedite design engineers' use of newer and complex electronic technologies
FEBRUARY 12, 2009, CHICAGO – Committed to bringing electronic engineers the newest technologies first, leading multi-channel electronics distributor Newark, part of global Premier Farnell, announced today that it has launched a library of TechCast® trainings to help designers get up to speed on newer and more complex solutions from top manufacturers, including Analog Devices, Cypress, Freescale, Linear Technology, National Semiconductor, Texas Instruments and Tyco Electronics.
TechCast trainings are located on Newark's homepage under "Useful Tools" at http://www.newark.com Newark selects which key solutions to include, and then either collaborates with its suppliers to develop the content or produces original material itself, based on application notes and datasheets. Following best practices, each module is presented in a uniform power point format, with or without audio, and typically takes 10 to 20 minutes, depending on the complexity of the solution. New modules are added weekly to the library.
A link listing all products discussed is also available within each training module. A dynamic link for each part takes the user directly to a Newark product detail page with specifications, datasheet and a shopping cart to expedite purchasing.
"As electronic components are getting more and more complex, there is a real need for fast and easily accessible training," comments David Shen, Senior VP & Global Head of Technical Marketing, Premier Farnell. "TechCast product training is a part of our global initiative to provide design engineers with the technical information they need from multiple channels."
