Tektronix and Flukes new design and manufacturing test kits distributed exclusively through Newark
CHICAGO-AUGUST 23, 2007 — Newark, part of the global Premier Farnell Group, and a leading multi-channel, high-service electronics distributor supporting millions of engineers and purchasing professionals across the Americas, is pleased to announce that it is introducing four exclusive Fluke/Tektronix test kits on its website at www.newark.com to provide comprehensive solutions for common design engineering and manufacturing applications.
"We appreciate that Newark is adding value to customers by bundling leading instruments and support for specific application needs," said Mike Rizzo, Director of Americas Marketing, Tektronix.
The Electronic Benchtop kit, for example, features two high-end instruments to aid in design and to measure operational parameters: a Fluke 8845A benchtop digital multimeter and a Tektronix DPO 4054 oscilloscope. The three manufacturing kits address power quality, air quality and general test issues.
The kits are priced 5% less than the cost of buying the test equipment individually, and
each kit offers customized application notes on how to use the equipment most efficiently.
"We're pleased to be able to work with Newark and Tektronix to come up with unique product offerings that serve the needs of Newark's customers," said Ken Fairleigh, VP of Sales for the Americas, Fluke.
Application notes and complete details about the kits can be found at www.newark.com/fluke or www.newark.com/tektronix
Additionally, Newark and its parent company Premier Farnell have launched a major $100,000 international environmental design competition called 'Live Edge' Electronic Design for the Global Environment. Details are available at www.live-edge.com/info. Early registrants are automatically entered to win a Tektronix TDS2024B oscilloscope.
