Product Overview

IRPLLNR7 is a reference design board which features IRS2166DPBF advanced PFC and ballast control IC. The PFC circuitry operates in critical conduction mode and provides high PF, low THD and DC bus regulation. Which include programmable preheat and run frequencies, programmable preheat time and programmable end of life protection. It has protection from failure of a lamp to strike, filament failures, DC bus undervoltage reset as well as an automatic restart function. This board has a typical ballast output stage using current mode filament heating will result in excessive filament current during running. The output stage has therefore been configured for voltage mode filament heating using secondary windings off of the resonant inductor LRES.
