Product Overview

IRDC3812 is an evaluation board which features the IR3812 synchronous buck converter. A versatile regulator offering programmability of startup time and current limit with fixed 600kHz switching frequency. It has important protection functions such as pre-bias startup, hiccup current limit and thermal shutdown to provide the required system level security in the event of fault conditions. A trailing edge modulation is used for generating fixed frequency pulses which drives the internal N channel MOSFETs. The board provides output over current protection function is implemented by sensing the voltage developed across the on-resistance of the synchronous rectifier MOSFET for optimum cost and performance.
