Product Overview

The R500 is a C programmable robotic caterpillar kit. This is an unassembled kit which is suitable for school or hobby projects. The caterpillar is controlled by a powerful ATMEGA16 microcontroller and the robot is programmable via open source tools in C.
  • Moves like a caterpillar on the floor
  • Retreats when objects touch the antenna sensor
  • Rights itself using the tilt sensor when the caterpillar falls over
  • Antenna LEDs change colour when making contact with objects
  • 8 degrees of freedom
  • IR receiver allows for control with a universal remote
  • Transparent body is fitted with LEDs and looks great in the dark
  • I2C bus expandable
