Product Overview

The NT-50 is a Magneto-resistive Current Sensor for peak current. The NT-series current sensor a surface of 2.6cm² on a printed circuit board is necessary for potential free and galvanically isolated measurement of DC, AC and impulse current up to 150A. Due to high sensitivity of the anisotropic magneto-resistive effect, there is no need for a magnetic field concentrator around the primary conductor. Therefore no remanence occurs. The small weight of NT-series is another advantage compared to conventional current measurement method.

F.W. Bell current sensors I have used both the 50A and 15A Hall effect current sensors for DC measurements and found them to be very accurate even at small currents. Under 50mA the measurement is still useful but may need additional averaging to retain accuracy. These are very easy to use and excellent performance devices. March 2, 2011
