The TWR-S12G128 is a MC9S12G128 automotive tower system module. It is a demonstration-board for the MC9S12G128 microcontroller with, an automotive, 16bit microcontroller focused on low-cost, high performance in a low pin-count device. The TWR-S12G128 features the MC9S12G12, a 16bit MCU focused on low-cost, high performance and low pin-count. The MC9S12G family is intended to bridge the gap between high-end 8bit MCU’s and high performance 16bit MCU’s. The MC9S12G family is targeted to generic automotive applications requiring CAN or LIN/J2602 communications. The board is designed to interface to the Freescale tower system, a modular development platform which aids in rapid prototyping and tool-reuse. An integrated open-source BDM, software tools and examples provided with the development board make application development and debug quick and easy.
