The MCF52259CAG80 is a 32-bit ColdFire Microcontroller. The MCF5225x family consists of highly integrated devices with on-chip USB, Ethernet, CAN and encryption functions featuring the complete NXP MQX™ RTOS software at no additional cost. This document provides an overview of the 32-bit MCF52259 microcontroller, focusing on its highly integrated and diverse feature set. This 32-bit device is based on the Version 2 ColdFire core operating at a frequency up to 80MHz, offering high performance and low power consumption. On-chip memories connected tightly to the processor core include up to 512kB of flash memory and 64kB of static random access memory (SRAM).

  • DMA controller - Source/destination address pointers that can increment or remain constant

This programmer allows the PC to communicate with a target processor through the USB port of the PC & can support many Freescale architectures including: S08, HC(S)12(X), ColdFire V1/ColdFire+ V1, ColdFire V2-4, Qorivva MPC55xx/56xx, and Kinetis.
