Product Overview

AC164152-1 is a demonstration and development MRF24XA PICtail/PICtail Plus daughter board for the MRF24XA low power, 2.4GHz, ISM band IEEE 802.15.4 RF transceiver. The daughter board can be plugged into multiple boards. For example, the daughter board is appropriate for 8bit microcontroller development using the PIC18 Explorer Board (DM183032) or for 16bit and 32bit microcontroller development using the Explorer 16 Development Board (DM240001).
  • IEEE 802.15.4-2003 and IEEE 802.15.4-2006 standard compliant RF transceiver
  • Multiple air data rates 250Kbps (IEEE 802.15.4)- 125, 500, 1000, 2000Kbps
  • Configurable TX output power
  • Frame header duration scales with the selected data rate
  • On the fly, per frame air data rate detection(link by link independent air data rates)
  • Inferred destination addressing (to further save on framing overheads; optional)
  • Supports ZigBee RF4CE protocol and MiWi protocol
