Product Overview

The AT91SAM-ICE is a JTAG emulator designed for Atmel AT91 ARM cores, including the Thumb mode. It supports download speeds up to 720KB per second and maximum JTAG speeds up to 12MHz. It also supports serial wire debug (SWD) and serial wire viewer (SWV) from SAM-ICE hardware V6. It connects via USB to a PC running Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP. SAM-ICE has a built in 20pin JTAG connector, which is compatible with the standard 20pin connector defined by ARM. SAM-ICE can handle mulitcore debugging. A SAM-ICE connector is a 20way insulation displacement connector (IDC) keyed box header (2.54mm male) that mates with IDC sockets mounted on a ribbon cable.

Are you asking about firmware version on SAMICE? If yes, ‘J-LINK Configurator’ in Segger can be used to check the firmware version.
You can get this information from Atmel Studio as well from ‘Tools -> Device Programming ->Tool Information’.
