DYNAMODE - BT-USB-M2 - ADAPTOR, BLUETOOTH, USB, COMPACT 1 5 1 1
Beware, does not work with Rasbperry Pi This bluetooth adapter was included in the Raspberry Pi bundle, but does not work with Raspberry Pi... I have tried installing it a couple of times without success. Very frustrating. Newark should not include it as a bundle, because it does not work with the Raspberry Pi July 14, 2013

not working with Pi

Details:
lsusb finds it, bluetoothd starts, hcitool scan returns nothing. Tried from pi and debian squeeze installed on a pc. Has anyone got this BT-USB-M2 to work? If not its quite deceiving being listed as an accessory to the Raspberry Pi while having no evidence that it works?

A:
I have tried it on two macs and 1 win7 machine, all 4 computers identify the dongle, blink when discoverable or when scanning. But none can find any other bluetooth devices, no iPhones, keyboards, mice, or trackpads. I'll call Newark for a replacement. As for Debian Linux, this product was sold as a accessory to the raspberry pi device from newark's product page.

As per datasheet of the part, this Bluetooth adaptor supports Windows and Mac OS. So, it will not support Debian Linux.
