Product Overview

The IC624A-F is an asynchronous RS-232 to RS-485 Interface Converter with DB9 Female to RJ-45. The device converts high-speed RS-232 applications to RS-485, the RS-232 connector is DB9F and the RS-485 connector is RJ-45. It's built-in silicon avalanche diode surge protects against data loss and equipment damage from transient surges. For configuration, the converter features two internal 4-position DIP switches.
  • Provides asynchronous data rates up to 115.2kbps over two or four wires
  • Half or full-duplex operation over two or four wires
  • Point-to-point or multipoint operation
  • Distances up to 9miles (14.4km)
  • Two-wire half-duplex turnaround controlled by the RS-232 RTS signal
  • Operates with or without transmit "echo"
