Product Overview

The ATSAMR21-XPRO evaluation kit is a hardware platform to evaluate ATSAMR21G18A microcontroller. The ATSAMR21G18A is a ARM Cortex-M0+ based 32bit microcontroller and best in class 2.4GHz RF transceiver. It offers the industry's highest RF performance for single chip devices, with a link budget of 105dBm while consuming 50% less current than the existing offerings. Supported by the Atmel Studio integrated development platform, the kit provides easy access to the features of ATSAMR21G18A and explains how to integrate the device in a custom design. This Xplained Pro microcontroller evaluation kits include an onboard embedded debugger and no external tools are necessary to program or debug the ATSAMR21G18A. The Xplained Pro extension kits offers additional peripherals to extend the features of the board and ease the development of custom designs.

Operating the ATSAMR21G18A Xplained Pro on other voltages than 3.3V requires physical modifications on the kit using a soldering iron and an external debugger for programming the ATSAMR21G18A.

Warnings

Do not power the board without having the jumper or an ammeter mounted. This can cause the ATSAMR21G18A to be powered through its I/O pins and cause undefined operation of the device.
