Product Overview

The ATMEGA16U2-AU is a high performance, low power CMOS AVR 8bit microcontroller based on AVR enhanced RISC architecture in 32 pin TQFP package. This device achieves throughputs approaching 1MIPS per MHz by executing powerful instructions in a single clock cycle. This allows system designer to optimize power consumption versus processing speed. The ATMEGA16U2-AU has one 8bit timer/counter with separate pre-scaler and compare mode, one 16bit timer/counter with separate pre-scaler, internal calibrated oscillator, external and internal interrupt sources.
