Product Description

Analog Devices AD7091R 12-bit successive approximation analog-to-digital converter (ADC) offers ultralow power consumption (typically 349µA at 3V and 1MSPS) while achieving fast throughput rates (1 MSPS with a 50 MHz SCLK).

Using advanced design and process techniques to achieve this very low power dissipation at high throughput rates the AD7091R allows designers to optimize power budget, minimize power dissipation in lower throughput conversion scenarios, or for intermittent or one-shot conversions.

Add to this Flexible Power/Throughput Rate Management which averages power scales with the throughput rate and a power-down mode allowing the average power consumption to be reduced when the device is not performing a conversion; you have a device that is able to boast the lowest power usage in its class by 45%.

The AD7091R also features an on-chip conversion clock and high speed serial interface. The conversion process and data acquisition are controlled using a CONVST signal and an internal oscillator.
