Product Overview

With the U1733C you can perform quick, basic LCR measurements at your convenience. Now you can measure at frequencies as high as 100 kHz, a capability that is typically found only in benchtop meters. With the auto identification, Ai which conveniently displays component type and detailed component analysis such as Z, ESR, DCR, you can get measurements done faster. Better yet, the battery lasts up to 16 hours, ideal for testing on the go.
  • 20,000 counts resolution
  • 0.2% accuracy
  • Wide LCR ranges with 5 selectable test frequencies (100Hz, 120Hz and 1kHz, 10kHz and 100kHz)
  • Detailed component analysis with DCR, ESR, Z, D and Q functions
  • IR-to-USB connectivity for data logging to PC

KEYSIGHT TECHNOLOGIES - U1733C - HANDHELD LCR METER, 184 x 87 x 41mm, 37g 3.3 5 3 3
Calibrate It First! Measures accurately from 1uF down to 1 pF but you have to calibrate it first. I checked it using 1% capacitors, inductors and resistors and it was well within specs. I use it primarily to measure RF components. Because it uses a sine-wave generator to make the measurement, even at the lowest frequency (100Hz), it has an accuracy problem with electrolytics 10uF or higher. Multimeters use a pulse method and do a better job with high value electrolytics but aren't as good measuring low value capacitors. I purchased the Combo Kit that includes the power supply, USB adapter, tweezers, carrying case and power cord. The power cord was 220v European style and is useless here in the U.S.. Fortunately we have an excess of IEC power cords. March 27, 2015
Absolutely BEST PORTABLE LCR METER EVER.... Ease of use is very Superior...best of the best. Fast and Dirt-Simple. It stands alone at the top. Not really a surprise, because Agilent actually means: "Hewlett Packard" lab instruments. I've used nearly all the others......Ive got a Metrology and Engineering Background. Accuracy is as good as Physics Allows........in this small package. DON'T WASTE TIME AND MONEY WITH ANYTHING ELSE....(BK) September 16, 2013
The U1733C Is a piece of JUNK The U1733C Is a piece of JUNK, it reads a 51 pf cap as 57 pf it reads a 820 nH inductor as 1005 nH. It is a little better in manual than automatic but it still does not meet spec. A call to Agilent got a promise that someone would call me back today but it is after 5 Pm and no call. DO NOT BUY April 23, 2012
