Product Overview

942 is a Pi Dish for Raspberry Pi, its a way to attach a Raspberry Pi computer to a plastic 'dish' with a full sized breadboard. Designed carefully to make it as easy as possible to attach and detach the Pi. Since the Pi computer does not have any mounting holes, we use these nifty plastic edge 'grabbers', they are incredibly strong but will not damage the Pi circuit board. There are two ways to mount the Pi on to the plate. one if user want to use the HDMI output primarily and one if user plane to use the composite output. Next to the Pi is a spot for a full sized breadboard, plenty of space for project even if using an Cobbler breakout helper. Also included 4 rubber bumpers to attach to the bottom.

Nice kit for the price I like this Pi Dish, especially for the price. It looks very nice and the components are quality. My biggest issues were: -there were no assembly instructions included in the package -the protective backing was difficult to grab a hold of (it needs to be removed to show of that pretty acrylic) -the Pi standoffs were difficult to install. Biggest issue was the last one... I was hoping that the Pi would just slide into the standoffs after I screwed them in; but that was not the case due to some of the components near the edge on the outside of the Pi board. I first installed the two inner standoffs, set the Pi in place, and then screwed in the two outer standoffs. BTW, use pliers because it KILLS your fingers trying to hold the standoffs in place while driving the screws. I managed but three hours later my fingers are still in pain. LOL Overall I'm very satisfied with this purchase and I recommend it if you plan on breading your Pi. December 9, 2012
