Customer Reviews

ADAFRUIT INDUSTRIES - 914 - PI COBBLER BREAKOUT KIT, RASPBERRY PI 4 5 2 2
Wiring Harness for breadboards In practice, this product can be replaced with some cheap Female-Male jumper wires. The quality is good for what this is though. I doubt many will take advantage of it though. February 20, 2015
Great tool for 'expanding' Raspberry Pi Bought one of these to gain access for analog sensor i.e. TMP36. Kit came complete, was well packaged and sorted out. Assembly required just a very few minutes of soldering (which after all; is FUN). The ribbon cable is of good quality and attached (red wire toward sdcard slot) snugly to RPi pinouts. Works great, no head scratching here. Directly compatible with clear Adafruit/Newark enclosure. The only other observation I can offer (and not a knock on the kit) is that a buyer should consider a 'larger' breadboard for inclusion in your project. It's just the nature of the beast, with 13 pins a side and likely inclusion with an ADC, breadboard real estate disappears fast leaving little room for all those gadgets we dream about. A:
This is to take all the GPIO pins from the Raspberry Pi to a breadboard. I bought one becaue I also thought I might need it, but in practice I never used more than a few of the pins. The wide cable to connect the devices sometimes gets in the way of breadboard pins too.
