ADAFRUIT INDUSTRIES - 814 - MINIATURE WIFI MODULE, RASPBERRY PI 4.8 5 14 14
Rpi2 Plug and Play Nothing to it, just plug it into your Rpi2 (I use Raspian) and away you go. May 22, 2015
Great adapter!!! Plugged this in and configured the RPi 2 and had wireless up and running very quickly. I've had no problems with range or signal and it has been very reliable. May 14, 2015
Good cheap adapter, but not the fastest I have several Raspberry Pi Bs and I purchased a few of these to equip them with WiFi. As expected they just worked out of the box which is great. An older B I have is running with an Edimax WiFi adapter which was the gold standard of supported USB WiFi adapters a while back. It cost quite a bit more at the time but was the only game in town. Compared to the Edimax, this adapter doesn't quite move data to/from the router as quickly as the Edimax, but it's certainly good enough for most things. For the price I'm very happy. May 6, 2015
Wireless for Raspberry pi Plugged into Raspberry pi. Plugged in and went online. No hassles. May 2, 2015
Never got it but its cool Ok, I ordered a Raspberry Pi 2, this wifi Module. The Pi2 was on back order. Instead of sending me 1 Pi2 and 1 wifi Mod you sent me 2 Pi2's and no wifi Mod. Im not complaining, I figured id let you guys know.. April 6, 2015

Wi-Fi Installation

Details:
I would like to install the Wi-Fi Adapter by the command line instructions
I entered the following
sudo nano /etc/network/interfaces
1. auto lo
2.
3. iface lo inet loopback
4. iface eth0 inet dhcp
5.
6. allow-hotplug wlan0
7. auto wlan0
8.
9.
10. iface wlan0 inet dhcp
11. wpa-ssid "ssid"
12. wpa-psk "password"

But is did not work. ??? The blue LED on the wi-fi adapter blinks 6 or 7 times in a cycle repeatedly, like it is waiting for something and the and all the Raspberry board communicaitons lights are off. I am missing initializing it somewhere. ...???

I just found the documentation disk that came with the little Wi-Fi Adapter. I guess I have the RTL8188cus compatible wi-fi adapter -- this folder actually has documentation I can try the other folders do not have documentation.
I'll try any suggestions you can send me
Thanks
Abe

Newark order code # 53W6285 will work on 'raspbmc'
You need to configure this, by using the Raspbmc Setting program, that you will find in the Programs section of XBMC
