Description

801 is a prototyping Pi plate kit for Raspberry Pi board. This add on prototyping Pi Plate, which can snap onto the Pi PCB and gives all sorts of prototyping goodness to make building on top of the Pi super easy. Its added with lots of basic but essential goodies. First up, there's a big prototyping area, half of which is breadboard style and half of which is perfboard style so can be wired up DIP chips, sensors and like. Along the edges of the proto area, all the GPIO/I2C/SPI and power pins are broken out to 0.1inch stips so can be easily connected to them. On the edges of prototyping area, all of breakout pins are also connected to labelled 3.5mm screw terminal blocks. This makes it easy to semi permanently wire in sensors, LEDs, etc. There's also a 4 block terminal block broken out to 0.1inch pads for general non GPIO wiring. Finally, a little space remaining over the metal connectors so SOIC surface mount chip breakout area is added, for those chips that dont come in DIP format.

Features:

  • Bumper underneath the SOIC breakout area will make the plate sit nicely on the Ethernet port
  • 2 x 13 pin header, onto Raspberry Pi GPIO breakouts, is symmetric so it will fit on either way

Applications:

  • Hobby & Hardware Hacking

Contents:

PCB, 2 x 13 female header, 1 x 6 female header, Two 1 x 8 female headers, Bumper, three 3 pin terminal blocks and ten 2 pin terminal blocks.

A:
The Adafruit RaspberryPi Plate kit does not have a A-to-D converter. You can use IC MCP3008 - 8-Channel 10-Bit ADC (Newark code 19C7200).
