Product Overview

The 92 series 3M™ polyimide film Electrical Tape is amber with a 1-mil polyimide film backing with a silicone adhesive system for exceptional heat resistance and may be applied at very low temperatures. This tape can be imprinted and available on a 3 inch plastic core. Its silicone pressure sensitive adhesive allows it to be used at 356°F (180°C). It is used for high temperature electrical applications in which a tough, thin insulating material is required for wrapping coils, transformers, capacitors, wire harnesses and for anchoring leads/terminal boards. It also is used in printed circuit board assembly as a wave solder masking tape.
